ONGOING COLLABORATION

Zoe frequently co-devises with Seth Kriebel making unusual theatre / game performance.

They have recently been working on a commission from the British Library to accompany the Secret Maps exhibition ‘The Map & the Echo’.

New chamber opera by Stitched-up Theatre.

Premiered 2021 at Tete a Tete Opera Festival, the Cockpit Theatre and then as part of Grimeborn Opera Festival at the Arcola Theatre, 2022.

Zoe has been invited to talk about performance

— on a panel at The Accidental Festival at the ICA, London,

— to students at Chichester University and Brighton Film School

Zoe wrote an article in Total Theatre Magazine called Here, There and Everywhere about her time devising/performing with ground-breaking performance group, Station House Opera.

SUPPORTED ARTISTS

Zoe Bouras and Seth Kriebel are supported by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) collaborating on research projects with Dr Martin Welton.

UNIVERSITY WORK

Zoe has been invited to share her experience as a maker at universities/film school:

— Making Site-Specific Theatre: leading a term-long unit for third years at QMUL supervising the students making their own work.

— Directing , Anne Washburn’s Mr Burns - a Post-Electric Play at the University of Bedfordshire for the BA (Hons) Acting students as their final year production

— Co-devising a show with first years I want to stay and stay…, inspired by Will Ashon’s book, ‘The Passengers’.

— Acting for fIlm directing students: giving workshops on basics of acting and improvisation.

MENTOR

Zoe enjoys being a volunteer mentor for the excellent charity Arts Emergency, helping 16-17 year olds engage with the performing arts world.
